It’s Bunny Mania at The Pinup Blog!
Easter leaves me no choice but to go bunny
hunting across the web. I bring you the
finest bunny bombshells: Be vewy vewy
quiet…
#10 My Girly Space - 3D Playboy
Bunnies
The Playboy Bunny logo is so popular with the
Myspace crowd, it actually appears as a
separate category on the sidebar (you know,
where they list general themes like, Animals,
Flowers, Celebrities etc.). But I was
actually hoping to bring you playboy bunny
model layouts. This
is so scarce, I only found this one.

#9 Adult Bunny
Costumes
In contrast to the Myspace layouts, bunny
costumes are all over the web! Of course
there’s the usual suspects: Ebay and
Amazon.
Pinup Girl Clothing have their own bunny
costumes, as well and many other online
stores.
#8 Cafepress Easter Bunnies
Cafepress
shop keepers love the holidays and the
bunnies are rampant, this Easter. I found
some fascinating shops and many great
bunnies.
#7 Playboy Bunnies of Past and
Present
The Palms
Casino Resort has revived the
Playboy Bunny. A bunny’s job used to be
waitressing, today they are the casino
dealers. But that’s not the only
difference between bunnies of the past
and the bunnies of the present. Many
bunnies of the past would be considered
full-figured women, today, while the
bunnies of the present all seem to be
athletically slim. Another interesting
feature of past bunnies is their
girl-next door facial-features, while
today’s bunnies seem to me more edgy and
sexy.
I’d like to commend the Playboy corporation
for their racially diverse standards, from
the get go. The
Ex-Playboy Bunny site exhibits a
wonderful variety of beautiful women.
Kudos!
That said, I’m very upset they took the
colorful costumes away. The new all-black
uniform gets tiered, once all the girls wear
it. The girls on the Palms site all look the
same, in a way and it’s bland and sad. While
the Ex-Playboy Bunny site is like Mardi Gras
for the eyes.
#6 Harajuku Bunnies on the Japanese
Streets
The Harajuku girls are Japanese
teenagers who dress in a wildly post-punk
style, influencing the current fashions of
America’s Emo Kids. And although America’s
youth is doing a fine job in scaring the hell
out of their parents, they aren’t even close
to what the Japanese kids are doing.
Amongst the Harajuku there can be find
various styles and cultural references, but
bunnies are our business today. So here they
are the Harajuku bunnies on the Japanese
streets. You’ll notice there’s a touch of
Manga and some wigs, horror references, fuzzy
animals
#5 Jennifer Love Hewitt
I remember
not liking Confessions Of A Sociopathic
Social Climber, but you gotta love Jennifer
Love Hewitt’s comic lightness. She’s a fun
bunny:
#4 Miss Van
A lovely piece of
gratify, by Miss
Van (Vanessa Castex), a French born
graffiti artist. She was a big part of
the feminine movement in street art, in
the 1990’s. Miss Van paints mesmerizing
cartoon pinup, definitely worth a deeper
look.
#3 Manga Bunnies
Japanese Manga is
one of my favorite artistic styles,
especially when it’s done well, with the
obsessive attention to detail. One of
the fixtures of Manga is pretty hybrid
girls with animal ears, tails and
whiskers. The Manga pinup is always
sweet, but plays with the concept of
good or bad, and like the Harajuku
girls, exhibits many cultural
references.
Sadly, I couldn’t find the originators of
these amazing pieces, because Google led me
only to forums. If anybody can
direct me to the artist, please email me or
leave a comment.
#2 Olivia’s Madonna for
Playboy
What happens when
you take a skilled pinup artist, a sex
symbol and a fuzzy critter?
Olivia de
Berardinis Hunny Bunny. A
beautifully drawn Madonna, in Olivia’s
fantasy fashion wear.
#1 George Petty
We’ve been all
around the globe and moved through time
and space, time to turn back to the
classics. This years number 1 Bunny
Bombshell is
George Petty’s Calender Bunny. Not much
to say really, so just look and enjoy. I know
I did.
