I love a man who
respects vintage. The Boot
Fetishist is exactly that. I first
discovered him, when I was looking at The
Pinup Blog’s morning stats, and noticed
that many people came from his URL. One
look at the Boot Fetishist blog and I knew
I was in love. Vintage,
pinups, fashion
and of course boots is what you’ll find,
so go go go! (and tell’em I sent ya
)

Red is the color associated with fire,
blood (your life force), passion, love, and
heat, temptation, and anger, all of which
could be used to describe my favorite type of
pinups!
This would
be the vivacious Redhead...yes, the
fiery-tempered, sexy bombshells with the
cherry-colored hair...those are the ones
I love! You ask me why? Well, I have to
admit it's because I myself am a
quick-tempered, sharp-tongued redhead.
It's sort of like little girls with
blonde hair wanting a blonde Barbie doll
while the girls with brown hair seem to
prefer the brunette Barbies. I don't
remember having a redheaded Barbie doll
as a little girl (what a shame!). I'm a
redhead who loves looking at
crimson-tressed pinups. Some believe
these traits (the temper, the intense
sexuality) to be myths, but in my case,
it's all true, so how can I argue with
the stereotypes surrounding redheads?
Leo Charre is a
hobbyist pinup artist. His cartoon style,
mixed with a unique choice of color and
materials makes for interesting visual
effects. Do yourself a favor and go take a
look at this humble, yet fascinating pinup
gallery.

HANDIEDAN Flickriver has an original way
to apply art to his pinups. Check his page
out, and you’ll get to see a quotation of old
classics applied to a modern collage, using
print and a wooden door. Lovely, kitsch
with an artsy feeling.

We all know Snow White
had ivory skin, ebony locks and red lips
and cheeks. But nobody said she was the
petite character Walt Disney had
envisioned. I love my big models and I
love it when they have a big attitude
and ask for a daring idea, that
challenges consensus. Here's our BBW
version of Snow White.
So if you love yourself a big and beautiful
Snow White, she comes on all the items below:

Martin Luther King day was yesterday, so
what a great time to commemorate one of the
great black women in history: Eartha
Kitt!
Many losses for the
pinup world, this year.
First it was the mythological Bettie Page
and on the 25th of December it was
the legendary Eartha Kitt. It seems that my
tribute article came right on the week
commemorating Martin Luther King, which is
just too perfect. So instead of another
eulogy (which you already know I hate doing)
let’s talk about the awe-inspiring Eartha
Kitt’s true contributions to
society.
Pin-Up Art
World holds true to it’s name. Not
only is it a dedicated online store. It
is a wondrous collection of neo pinup
art, from funny
cartoons to
glossy airbrush art and a source of
information about many modern pinup artists.
A respectful enterprise
in this beloved, sleazy genre.

Another pinup lover
from around the world! Le Vixen

pinups never needed much words to
communicate. There are some lovely images
and totally out there videos. Go for a

Ever since 1969, the British tabloid, The
Sun, has been running glamour shots on page
3. On November the 17th 1970, the
magazine celebrated it’s first anniversary
with it’s first nude Page 3 Girl. Page 3
Girls never wore a top since. But even
without the tops, you can see a difference in
the times.

Details may be in a language I can’t
read, but its pictures aren’t.
This article is about the Vogue Paris
Calendar 2009 and it includes all 14
photographs out of the calender! They are
fantastic retro styled shots with a more
fetishistic adult twist and a diverse
selection of models.

Recent events in
Israel (where I was born, raised and
reside) and Gaza have led me to much
soul searching. The pinup to the left is
indeed one that I conjured up. Some of
you have noticed that it has disappeared
from the shop. I was uneasy with it,
when I had created it, a month ago, and
rethinking the situation: I just can’t
have it in my shop anymore.
Being an artist, however, I do think it
important to make a statement. And being that
my work is featured publicly, I do think it
important that I should take full
responsibility for my actions. As such, here
is what I’ve done:
I apologize here and now for supporting
violence andnationalism.
I’ve graffitied
this pinup to make a new statement of it.
This new statement, which I feel is much
more in line with my personal beliefs, is
on sale at
my other art shop at
Imagekind.
I’ve erased the
original pinup from my shop, all social
media sites and my hard drive.
I erased all
articles about supporting the troops. I
support them as people, but not as the
bloody hands of governments.
I can only hope
that all these acts can help in bringing the
atrocities of this world to people’s
attention.
